New Jewish Community Center Website Launch: Worcester JCC

It’s with great excitement to announce a brand-new website for Worcester Jewish Community Center.  From design to navigation, this J is kicking off the new year with a fresh new site to serve its existing members and the community at large. 

Each JCC is special because of its staff and members. The Worcester JCC provides its community with the highest quality of educational, health, wellness, recreational, and social programs, which are guided by Jewish values and culture for people of all ages. This newly designed website gives Worcester JCC the opportunity to:

• Customize homepage content
• Construct unlimited forms
• Mobile app management
• Build out dynamic web pages
• Upload images, PDFs, and files
• Easily control and update the menu navigation 
• Create blogs and news articles
• Update staff and board directories 
• And so much more!

We wanted to highlight some key features of this JCC’s new website and showcase these design and navigation options in case you’re looking for some inspiration to implement onto your organization’s site.

Navigation

• The Worcester JCC uses a mega menu, which is an expandable, two-dimensional dropdown menu.
• One fun thing you will notice about the navigation menu when you hover over it is the playful icons that display the various programs offered at Worcester JCC.
• These unique icons offer a more customizable and fun approach to the content listed out on the navigation.
• Right below the navigation is a scrolling alert bar. This allows the Worcester JCC the opportunity to display important or urgent updates that is front and center on their site.
• In the top right corner of the site, you will see the utility navigation has quick links and buttons to register for a program, donate, and a search icon.
• Using a search function on your website is a vital way to help visitors navigate through pages and find the exact information they are searching for. 
• On the footer navigation of the site is also six quick links that site visitors can click on to access these top viewed pages and read the latest news updates shared by the JCC.

Design 

• Worcester JCC’s website is built using a component-based design. 
• A component is a panel of information that is displayed in a custom format that can be applied to different pages throughout a site, allowing for content and imagery to easily be switched out by the J staff as needed.
• The Worcester JCC logo is unique to this J and it was a custom design. 
• All of the branding colors from the logo are used throughout the site in the navigation, in headers, and throughout various components.
• The homepage features scrollable hero images with content and calls to action that can be switched out at any time.
• There is an events slider also on the homepage that displays a grid view of upcoming programs and happenings at the J.
• A sliding sponsors carousel displays the organizations that support the Worcester JCC. This is a great way to promote these sponsors on the website homepage.

Featured Web Pages

• Using 立博客户端app下载’s component-based website design theme, Worcester JCC has a really unique design layout that uses a great mix of images and content on its Youth & Teens, Health & Fitness, Sports & Rec, and Arts & Culture web pages.
• Each of these web pages has clickable image grid boxes that will take users to separate landing pages to learn more about the program. 
• Members can peruse the Events Calendar by month or in a list view option. Each event can be clicked on and takes users to a page with full event details including the time, location, or virtual event information, along with a J staff member to contact for questions.
• The About Us page features content in a colorful branded grid and frame layout. Each box directs visitors to the exact page of content they are looking for.
• On the Staff Directory page, each team member has their picture and job role listed. This is a great way for members to get familiar with employees at the J.
